This Helicore Orchestral E string is made for a 1/2-size double bass. Its multi-stranded steel core is designed for easy left-hand playing and supports warm tone with excellent bow response. The damping focus is arco, making it suited to bowed orchestral lines. It can also be used pizzicato when a warm note with reduced sustain is the intended result.
