Dunlop’s Echoplex Preamp places the EP-3 front-end circuit on your pedalboard, using a FET and the same signal path described for that section. The Gain control supplies up to +11 dB of boost, with light asymmetrical clipping available at higher settings. True-bypass switching, a status LED, and a heavy-duty Phase 90-sized enclosure round out the pedal. It runs on standard 9-volt power and includes circuitry intended to maintain headroom through a 9-volt battery’s normal life.
