The 8-inch EVANS Black Chrome is a two-ply tom batter head using a 7-mil clear top film over a 7.5-mil black lower film. It is designed to bring out mid-to-low frequencies, giving small toms a richer, deeper voice alongside their natural high-frequency attack. Its response is described as articulate with tight sustain. Built with hard hitters in mind, it also targets stage and studio setups that benefit from less EQ and follow-up tweaking.
