The 2014 Gibson SG Standard featured tulip-style tuners, small pickguard, and ’57 Classic pickups, both of which can be coil tapped. This SG is very responsive and easily manipulated by the volume and tone knobs – no blanket over the pickups whatsoever. The bridge pickup tapped sounds convincingly twangy and punchy.
