Ibanez puts the Tube Screamer’s midrange overdrive character into a 1.375-by-3.5-inch pedal for boards where space is limited. Its three controls keep setup direct: Overdrive sets the clipping and drive amount, Tone changes treble content, and Level sets the output volume. It can be adjusted from a boost through stronger overdrive, and its response to the guitar’s volume control gives players another way to vary the amount of drive while playing. Built in Japan, it uses the original JRC4558 IC chip.
