Pearl’s 14 x 6.5-inch Free Floating Snare pairs a six-ply maple and mahogany shell with free-floating lugs and die-cast hoops. Pearl describes the shell as combining maple’s smooth frequencies with mahogany warmth, giving the drum a broad, balanced character rather than a single-material voice. The SR-160F strainer uses Pearl’s Click-Lock system to lock both the snare lever and tension adjuster at the chosen setting. Chrome hardware, a coated Remo Ambassador batter head and natural wood Satin Lacquer finish complete the drum.
