Description

JDI Stereo is a passive two-channel direct box that uses a pair of Jensen audio transformers, so it needs no power to operate. It balances an unbalanced Hi-Z signal and lowers its impedance for long cable runs, while transformer isolation addresses stray DC voltage associated with noise and ground loops. Each channel has a -15 dB pad, with 1/4-inch input and thru-put connections. A ground-lift switch serves the two XLR outputs, and its steel enclosure is built around a 14-gauge I-beam inner frame.
