For an 8-string bridge position, the passive Invader brings high output, aggressive attack, and heavy low-string thump. Three ceramic magnets, overwound coils, and enlarged pole pieces create an extended magnetic field that gives B and F notes an almost sub-sonic signal at the amp. Power chords and solos retain their cut through the pickup’s substantial voice. The black metal-covered version is described as warming bright or shrill guitars while adding further body to darker instruments. It can be used as an Invader set or paired with a ’59 or Jazz neck pickup.
