TAMA’s black Iron Works Studio Series MS756BK is a telescoping boom stand built around solid-iron tripod legs rather than hollow tubing. The bottom-heavy leg design is paired with extra-thick rubber foot covers that isolate the stand from floor vibrations. Its tilter uses a multi-steel-plate Vice Grip compression design, while a plastic insert in the T-handle stem addresses metallic buzzing and rattling. A large die-cast locking thumb nut and zinc die-cast adjustment collar support setup and adjustment.
